The Firm

Selecting an engineering consultant must begin with a careful appraisal of the firm that will design and oversee your project. Long before construction begins, these are the men and women whose attitudes, commitment, and professional skills will shape the structure more profoundly than steel, concrete, masonry, or wood.

Ryan-Biggs Associates is a consulting firm specializing in structural engineering services. The firm was founded in New York's Capital Region in 1973, and we added an office in Skaneateles, New York, in 2000. For nearly four decades, we have been providing structural engineering services for public and private owners, engineers, architects, and developers. We provide a broad range of services organized into eight core areas: structural building design; renovation; investigations, studies, and reports; historic preservation and masonry restoration; bridges; contractor support services; nondestructive testing; and special inspections. We work enthusiastically in most market sectors and typically find that more than one of our core services is utilized throughout a project's life cycle.

We maintain a highly motivated team of professionals whom through experience, education, dedication, and creativity, are challenged to meet the needs of our clients, our society, and our environment. We strive to remain at the forefront of cutting-edge engineering technology and industry trends.

Our principals and senior staff serve on several code-formulating committees and speak frequently on technical topics. The firm is an accredited NYS Education Department Continuing Professional Development Provider.

We hold professional engineering licenses in CT, DE, IL, KY, MA, MD, ME, MN, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, VA, VT, WI, and WV.

The projects we have completed demonstrate our deep and continuing commitment to providing quality engineering and our appreciation for the uniqueness of every engineering endeavor, regardless of project size. We have both the technical ability and desire to work collaboratively with our clients to tailor specific solutions to the technically diverse problems, economic limitations, and time constraints imposed by each project.

We look forward to the chance to make you a part of our long list of repeat clients.
