Halfmoon Town Hall

Halfmoon, NY

Ryan-Biggs provided the structural design for a new $5.5 million, 20,000-square-foot town hall for the Town of Halfmoon. This steel-framed building is one-story and features an exposed roof structure and columns, including architecturally exposed structural steel trusses. The facility boasts high cathedral ceilings and exterior glue-laminated, wood-framed canopies and trellis. The facility houses all Town functions and includes a large meeting room, information kiosk, restrooms, and the Town offices. Offices are positioned along a large interior public corridor, which is adorned with canopies at each office, providing the feel of walking down "Main Street." The green building design includes geothermal heat pumps and south facing fenestration to maximize daylight to the offices.
